Early summer gathering in the Food Forest garden, 20. – 27.5.18, Verden

GROW Events

The summer is awakened! And now we can enjoy the garden in all its glory! We invite you to join the early summer gathering with us together! We are going to work together, nurture, plant, uproot, harvest… learn from each other, spend time in the group, discuss, cook, party and hang around. We are looking forward to meet people from other gardening projects as well as interested people without any knowledge, to meet the ones we already know as well as new people!

We request the following from participants:

  • announce early that you are coming and stick to your decision. There are only limited places. It is possible to come for the whole or only parts of the event. We'll ask you to pay a deposit to confirm your participation and save you a spot. If you're interested, send a phone number for there are administrative points to talk about.
  • we wish a fee for the costs of the food (they’re gonna be low, there’s gonna be some dumpsterdiving and donations). Were the accomodation will be isn't clarified yet. There might be space in a seminar center or we'll sleep in a big tent in the forestgarden. You can also bring your own tent. Nonetheless you need a car or a bike to be mobile. You need to bring your own weatherproof workclothes.
  • The gathering is a pro-feminist space. Everyone should be able to feel good on the camp and so should be save from violations of his or her personal borders. Everyone should be able to tinker with his or her own identity and shouldn’t be pushed into a certain one. So macho-behavior and homophobia would be out of place. For these things everybody should take responsibility.

Hi again Allmende Waldgarten, it's good to hear of your activities. How are you getting on with the GROW journey? We'd love to hear what you have enjoyed in our MOOC's Citizen Science:From Soil to Sky; Citizen Science:Sensing the World and the latest Living Soils, Growing Food, which you can register for now. The Great GROW Experiment is starting on 1 May comparing polycultures vs monocultures so I hope you can take part in this in your Waldgarten as well. Please spread the word about GROW in Germany and tell more on twitter/facebook if you like.
